In this experimental course, artificial intelligence became a collaborative partner in exploring graphic design for film. Inspired by Annie Atkins' book Fake Love Letters, Forged Telegrams, and Prison Escape Maps, students worked with original scripts generated with the help of ChatGPT. Each student transformed their assigned script into a visual world, crafting title sequences, graphic props, and movie posters that brought these fictional films to life.
The project bridged traditional graphic design principles with emerging AI technologies, challenging students to translate written narratives into compelling visual artifacts that could exist within each film's unique universe.
